I arrived at the venue about half an hour before the show and there were quite a few people outside casually chatting to the bands who had come out to say hello to everyone before the show. There was already quite a positive energy before people had even started going in, which is always a good sign.
Starting a bit later than planned The High Jinks took to the stage. There seemed to be a few people around that already knew who they were. Everyone seemed to quite enjoy their set, as they had quite catchy tunes and a really solid sound. If you haven’t heard of them before make sure you check them out.
The second band of the night were Ten Million Colours. Even though they were playing in their home town there didn’t seem to be many people that knew them. After a few minor hitches, they sounded great and people did respond well, with a few people moving around to the music. They seemed to be having great fun on stage, which always helps!
Next up were Stars Of The Search Party. This is when the energy really did pick up, there were people jumping around and a small mosh going on. Everyone seemed to enjoy it as they were full of energy and even with the problems of one of their guitarists not being able to hear what was being played they still sounded great. These guys never fail to impress me.
The fourth band on were Verses. Everyone by this point was well into the swing of things and ready to party. There were obviously quite a few people there that knew them as they had people singing their lyrics back at them. The crowd seem to love them with a lot of movement and what they said was the best crowd they have had on tour (up until that point and no they weren’t just saying that).
Last it was the band was Mallory Knox. Most people had been wait for these guys to take the stage which was obvious as even in the first song the whole crowd was jumping up and down, singing along and having a great time. Their songs are catchy and have some brilliant lyrics Unfortunately for me due to train times I had to leave after the first two song, I have no doubt though that the energy for the rest of the show will have been the same if not even better!!
Needless to say it was a brilliant night out even if was cut short and I will defiantly be attending more of Mallory Knox’s as well as the other bands gigs in the future.

Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012 has well and truly started, with almost 300 bands having already uploaded their videos in the hope that they might get their name out there. The prize in question of course is brilliant with 8 bands getting to play some of the biggest festivals in the UK and then one of those 8 bands getting to record at the Red Bull Studio in London and getting to tour with an established act.
I have been following the competition quite closely for a few years now and I know that the competition is fierce, with so many bands entering trying to find the best ones can be hard, but in the end its fan power that ultimately runs the whole thing. Bands have to rely on their fans to create ‘BUZZ’ by voting, watching, commenting and share their video from the site, so without a decent or loyal fan base they are likely to fall flat before they have even started.
In the coming weeks I will be keeping you updated with what’s going on and any hot acts that I might find along the way.

Vickz here: Helloo!
Yes, i went to this show as Titch was in Milton Keynes seeing Mallory Knox, Stars Of The Search Party & Verses.
Now back to All Saints Gig. ^.^
The bands were: Black Polaris, Freakuency, Flowers For Her Grave, The Unarmed, Nukestereo, Next Time Natalie.
I arrived to the venue to loads of people outside & inside, so I instantly knew its gona be a messy show ;) haha.
Next Time Natalie were on first, good set, crowd enjoyed it with a few mosh pits, but the crowd went more crazy for them after they did an Enter Shikari - Sorry You’re Not A Winner.
Secondly there was a Nukestereo… dupstep by Jorge. Half crowd was outside to get some air & didn’t realise this was on, BUT, the people that was inside, they were enjoying this.
Thirdly… there was Flowers For Her Grave who killed the show with fantastic songs, with even a brand new song in there too ;) the crowd loved every minute when this band was onstage, they went insane when they covered an Asking Alexandria song… the crowd created mayhem in the mosh with a wall of death & even bringing in a trolley into the mosh.
Fourth on the set was The Unarmed…. this band was loved by many in the crowd. Great set with crowd going mosh mental.
Next there was Freakuency… everyone went insane for these 2 lads who did some dupstep remixes. The crowd where bouncing, moshing & even throwing posters & cardboard around… next thing, there was a paper maché Snowman been thrown around, then the head comes off and paper goes everywhere along with a balloon… but it did end early as the venue owner was very upset/angry at the fact the place was getting wrecked and shizzle…. so Sam(lead vocalist of Black Polaris) stepped in and told everyone to stop wrecking the place, clear up cos if no one did this, then everyone woulda been chucked out & Black Polaris wouldn’t have played.
Finally there was the headliners on stage… Black Polaris, they were amazingg, despite the mic being shite as it was hard to hear Sam. but they played an excellent set. Crowd loved them.
So yeah, that was my night at All Saints Gig! ^.^
Thanks for reading.
